About

Prepare yourself!  Here are 85 random things About Me...

1. Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
Only if one of my daughters (or, my husband) leaves it open.

2. Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
No.  We do have one set from a Ritz-Carlton that my husband stayed at for business about a year ago though.

3. Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
Definitely out. I can't stand it when my feet feel too tight -- even when my dogs sneak onto the bed in the middle of the night, I hate when they crowd my feet.

4. Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
Sort of.  My sister and I found a street sign way out in the country, when we were teenagers, that had been knocked over.  We thought it would make a fun decoration so we took it.  My Dad found out and told us loudly that it is illegal to even have it and made us take it back.

5. Do you like to use post-it notes?
Yes.  I mostly use them to record return visits.

6. Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?
Yes.  My mom was a coupon shopper and I am a coupon shopper -- I have been since well before the craze (a.k.a. Extreme Couponing) started so I might not be getting the MOST from my coupons, but I save an average of $20 per shopping trip just with my coupons, so it more than pays for my newspaper subscription.

7. Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?
UM...neither, please!  I guess if I had to choose I would have to say the bees.  I'd rather have the known than the unknown.

8. Do you have freckles?
Sometimes.  My shoulders and arms freckle when I have been in the sun.

9. Do you always smile for pictures?     Yes.  Unless I am making a silly face!

10. What is your biggest pet peeve?
It changes.  Yesterday it was the person who I waited and waited on so I could turn, who ended up turning but didn't use their signal!  Today it was my hubby putting the T.P. roll on upside down (which I am pretty sure he did on purpose so that he wouldn't have to anymore!).

11. Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
      I have before.  But I don't usually.

12. Have you ever peed in the woods?
Yes.  My Dad loves to fish and the best fishing spots are rarely near a bathroom.

13. Do you ever dance even if there is no music playing?
Heck yes! And I'm sure in another couple of years it will embarass my daughters to no end.

14. Do you chew your pens and pencils?
      No.

15. What size is your bed?
Queen.  Too small, in my opinion, since we have two large dogs (boxers : 85 lbs. and 55 lbs.) who like to sneak onto the bed during the night and every once in a while we also have one or more of our daughters slipping in too!

16. Is it okay for guys to wear pink?       Sure.  My husband doesn't think so though so you will never see a guy in my household wearing pink.

17. Do you still watch cartoons?
Yes.  Even if I didn't have two small children (which I do, so I watch cartoons almost every day!), I would still watch them some because I enjoy animated movies (not anime -- think How to Train Your Dragon and Despicable Me!).

18. Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
What?! I would have to give this question some SERIOUS thought!  Maybe where the mobile home was that my grandparents lived in when I was a teenager (there is nothing there now and it is way out in the country).

19. What do you drink with dinner?
Soda or Sweet Tea (one of the reason why I am starting this blog probably).

Spaghetti (one of the reason why I am starting this blog probably -- aside from it not really being healthy, my portion sizes are no doubt out of control).

22. What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
Fried Green Tomatoes, Pride & Prejudice, 27 Dresses, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Despicable Me, etc., etc. (mainly chick flicks and some of the movies my girls like).

      Nope.

25. Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?
      Nope.

27. Can you change the oil on a car?
Probably not anymore. My Dad thought it was important to teach my sister and I how to change a flat tire and how to change the oil -- but I never had to so I am sure I wouldn't remember how anymore.

28. Ever gotten a speeding ticket?       Yes. I have a lead foot.  I LOVE driving fast!  But...it is such a waste of money to pay for a speeding ticket and we are a one income household and on a tight budget -- so I drove closer to the speed limit now.

      No.

30. Favorite kind of sandwich?
Cheeseburger (one of the reason why I am starting this blog probably).

31. Best thing to eat for breakfast?
I am not a big breakfast person. I could skip it, or eat cereal, oatmeal and toast, or a big breakfast with bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, cinnamon rolls, etc. (again, one of the reason why I am starting this blog probably)

32. What is your usual bedtime?      We usually take the girls upstairs and get jammied up and read or watch a little TV around 9:00p, then the girls go to bed around 9:45 - 10:00p.  Then that is MY TIME so I am usually awake until around 11:30p.

33. Are you lazy?       I can be.  I enjoy days when I have nothing that NEEDS done.

34. When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?
Nothing. No, really! We don't celebrate Halloween (I never have and no, I do not miss it and I do not feel like I ever missed out on anything).

35. What is your Chinese astrological sign?       I have no idea.  I do not believe in astrology.

One.  English.  Since I spend all day, every day, with two little ones -- sometimes I wonder if I am losing my grasp on that one language too!

      Alright, yes.

43. Sing in the car?
      Yes!

44. Dance in the shower?
      No.

45. Dance in the car?
Yes, indeed.  Not terribly often (not sure that my husband has ever seen me dance in the car and we've been married eleven years) -- but if the right song is on -- I ROCK OUT!

46. Ever used a gun?
I tried to shoot a balloon in my Mom's yard (they live way out in the country) once.  That is the extent of my gun usage.

47. Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?
About four months ago.  We had family pictures taken when our youngest was 18 months old.

48. Do you think musicals are cheesy?
Yes.  But "the hills are alive with the sound of....mu-sic"!  Every once in a while I will still watch one!

49. Is Christmas stressful?       Sort of.  Not in the same way it would be for a lot of people though.  We do not celebrate Christmas (again, I never have and no, I do not miss it and I do not feel like I ever missed out on anything) -- so it is stressful that we cannot go into a store for a month and a half without running into some mean "holiday shopper" or without being bombarded by Christmas music.

I am sure I have tried one, but we do not eat them regularly.

51. Favorite type of fruit pie?

I believe in demons who make people believe in ghosts.  I do not believe that there are dead people (spirits or souls) around.  I know what the Bible says about the dead.

54. Ever have a Deja-vu feeling?

55. Take a vitamin daily?       Not EVERY day.

56. Wear slippers?
      Never.

57. Wear a bath robe?
      No.

58. What do you wear to bed?
Not what I would like to. I feel very uncomfortable in my own skin so I wear an oversized tshirt and yoga or sweat pants, usually.  I would LIKE to wear a cami or tank top and shorts -- but I feel so daggone self-conscious (which is sad to me because my hubby of eleven years would probably be totally okay with it -- I cannot get past my own self-confidence issues).

59. First concert?
Um...my Mom and Dad took me when I was young (when they were still together) -- so it was either The Monkees, The Mamas and The Papas, or The Grass Roots.
My first concert I went to for myself was Joe and 112.  It was...AMAZING!

60. Wal-Mart, Target or Kmart?
      Target.

61. Nike or Adidas?
Probably Nike.  I have no real loyalty to a shoe brand.  I just purchased my first pair of running shoes and they are Asics.

62.Cheetos Or Fritos?
Depends on the meal.  By themselves : Cheetos.

63. Peanuts or Sunflower seeds?
      Sunflower Seeds.

64. Ever take dance lessons?
Just a couple.  We took maybe two lessons before our wedding for our first dance.  I doubt learning to country line dance (a.k.a. The Electric Slide, etc.) in Phys.Ed. in school counts!

65. Can you curl your tongue?
No!  But my husband and both daughters can curl and twist their tongues.

66. Ever won a spelling bee?
HAHA! No.  I'm not great at spelling -- you'll probably find several errors just in this silly questionnaire.

67. Have you ever cried because you were so happy?       No.  I have expected to (when I got married and when I had my two babies), but it never happened.

68. Own any record albums?
      No.

73. Hot tea or cold tea?
Iced Sweet Tea (again, one of the reason why I am starting this blog probably)

74. Tea or coffee?
Tea, definitely.  I LOVE the smell of coffee but hate the taste.

75. Sugar or snickerdoodles?
      Snickerdoodles.  YUM!

76. Can you swim well?
I cannot swim at all.  I am kind of scared of fish touching me and we always went to the lake to swim, so I never learned.  I plan on getting my girls lessons so they know how to...since, obviously, mommy cannot teach them.

77. Can you hold your breath without holding your nose?
For maybe 20 seconds (that's not very impressive!).

78. Are you patient?
Unfortunately, not really.  Patience is something I work on every day.

79. Ever won a contest?
Yes! I won an all-inclusive trip to Ireland in 2006.  Round-trip airfare, hotels, tours, some meals, and some spending money.  It was an AMAZING trip and I still cannot believe I won it!

80. Ever have plastic surgery?
No.  If my hubby okayed it (and we had the money) I probably would though -- there a several things (augmentation and tummy tuck at least) that I would like done to help me feel better about myself.

81. Which are better black or green olives?
      Ew. Neither!

82. Can you knit or crochet?
Neither.  I want to learn to crochet though.  I have a couple of patterns I am really wanting to make for the girls.

83. How long have you been married?
      Eleven years and nine months.

84. Who was your HS crush?
I sure hope that no one that knows him ever reads this : Ty Felts.
I really just wanted to be friends, if nothing else -- but I secretly hoped he would come back from New York and tell me that he had been waiting for me.  HAHA -- the hopes and dreams of a teenaged girl.

85. Do you have kids?
Yes (I've already mentioned them in several answers).  Two daughters : Dylann and Makenzi.
